This journey moves from Madagascar’s central highlands towards the coast, where the scenery gradually shifts from green hills and rice fields to drier, more open landscapes. It’s also a route that offers a clear sense of everyday life outside the capital, with small towns and rural communities along the way. The highlight of the trip is discovering Madagascar’s iconic baobabs, including the famous Avenue of the Baobabs, the majestic Sacred Baobab and the intertwined Baobab Amoureux, set within vast open scenery that defines the region’s unique character.Day 1 – Arrival in Antananarivo
Airport pickup and transfer to the hotel. Overview of the tour.
Day 2 – Antananarivo - Antsirabe
Visit to the Queen's Palace of Rova Manjakamiadana before continuing the journey to Antsirabe. Stop in Ambatolampy to learn about the making of Malagasy pottery. Evening walking tour of Antsirabe to explore the city.
Day 3 – Antsirabe - Miandrivazo
After breakfast at the hotel, departure to Miandrivazo. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the traditional village and meet the local people during this trip. Lunch will be in Mandoto before continuing on to Miandrivazo.
Day 4 – Miandrivazo - Morondava
After breakfast, departure to Morondava. The trip takes about half a day. Upon arrival in Morondava, you’ll have time to explore the Kimony Reserve to see different types of lemurs.
Day 5 – Morondava - Kirindy
After breakfast, departure to Kirindy. The adventure begins as you travel through the Baobab Forest. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a traditional village and meet the local people. In the evening, you’ll set out on a night tour of the Kirindy Forest to discover nocturnal species such as lemurs and other animals.
Day 6 – Kirindy - Morondava
After breakfast, enjoy a daytime tour of the Kirindy Forest. You’ll see various types of birds, lemurs, chameleons, and more. After the visit, have lunch at the hotel, then check out and depart for the Baobab Alley. You’ll admire the Baobab Alley until sunset before returning to the hotel in Morondava.
Day 7 – Morondava - Antananarivo
After breakfast, transfer to Morondava Airport according to your flight schedule to take the flight to Antananarivo.
Day 8 – International departure
After breakfast, you’ll have free time for souvenir shopping in the city. Then, transfer to the airport for your international flight. End of the trip
